UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta successfully became the PTKIN with the most applicants in the National Academic Achievement Selection (SPAN-PTKIN) 2023. Returning to open opportunities for 12th grade students and MA / SMA / SMK / Pesantren Muadalah / Equivalent graduates in 2021 and 2022 on the Independent Examination Path (UM-PTKIN) 2023. This year the UM-PTKIN selection process uses an Electronic Selection System (SSE) based exam. Before the real test on May 29-June 8, 2023, participants will be directed to take the exam simulation on May 22-27, 2023. This simulation aims to ensure that the exam that the participants will take can run smoothly and if there are obstacles, they can be evaluated during the simulation. In this path, participants are charged a registration fee of Rp. 200,000. Even though the exam is taken online, students are still required to come to the exam location that has been chosen by the student as stated on the exam card that must be carried by the participant during the exam. In 2023, the test materials are no longer divided into social science and science groups. Participants are given exam materials consisting of cognitive potential, math literacy, reading literacy, and Islamic literacy.
