Preparing "Sekolah Toleransi", Religious Studies' HMPS visited the Sapto Darmo Center.

Sekolah Toleransi (Tolerance School) is an annual event of HMPS Studi Agama-Agama which is attended by interfaith people. This year, HMPS Studi Agama-Agama participated in wanting to involve Sapto Darmo believers. To follow up on that intention, the HMPS went to the Sanggar (studio) located in Wirogunan, Mergangsan District, Yogyakarta City.
Sanggar Candi Sapta Rengga Yogyakarta, the center of Sapto Darmo activities, has the origin of the name "sanggar" due to its location adjacent to a multipurpose building with Javanese architecture.
The visit on Friday, September 9, 2022 was welcomed by one of the administrators and several Darmo youths who happened to be in the studio. In this visit, besides containing information about the activities of Sekolah Toleransi, the topic of discussion also included small talk about the teachings and history of Sapto Darmo, including several conflicts and intimidation that occurred to Sapto Darmo adherents. In addition, students of Religious Studies had the opportunity to read Wewarah Pitu (the book of Sapto Darmo adherents) and some students even brought home two versions of Wewarah Pitu (Javanese and Indonesian).
"During this year's Tolerance School, we aim to educate the public about the presence of believers as well as maintain harmony between the majority and minority communities," said Ikhwanudin, vice chairman of HMPS.
"Although our religion has not yet been recognized by the government, we are grateful that they have protected us. Our ID cards have also not been blanked since 2017" said one of the sanggar's organizers.
