Young people's religious dreams in the media sphere, why not?

Media is a means or tool for delivering messages from sources to the general public. But in this case there are many kinds of media such as print media, namely newspapers, magazines, articles, scientific papers while electronic media is like online-based news. In connection with the media, the Religious Studies Study Program held a public lecture with the theme "Young People's Religious Dreams in the Media" which was held on Wednesday, November 06, 2019. This public lecture is specifically for new students of the Religious Studies Study Program. The purpose of this public lecture is so that the academic community, especially students of the Religious Studies Study Program, are able to understand and study the problems that occur through the media, especially being able to have a positive impact in terms of media.

However, the problem today is that there are many media that spread conflicts and smells negative and even bring people towards anarchy. In line with what was said by Mrs. Dr. Dian Nur Anna, namely looking at developments in the current era, many media reports have led to conflicts even in the realm of religion. In this case Sri Sugiarti M.Pd as the speaker answered the problem, "that the role of the media must be able to reconcile conflicts, especially religion that occurs." Therefore it is very important as we academics to be able to utilize the media as well as possible even to reconcile the conflicts that occur.
