Closing the Tolerance School Week, HMPS( The Student Association of Study Programs) Religious Studies Study Department Holds Virtual Tour Roadshow with Penghayat Sapta Darma Yogyakarta

The Student Association of Study Programs (HMPS) of ReligionStudies(SAA) Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, has finished holding a virtual tour roadshow as the closing event in the Tolerance School week(Pekan Sekolah Toleransi)on Monday (11/15/2021). The agenda took the theme "A Closer Look at Religious Rites and Beliefs" by examining the Sapta Rengga Temple Studio which is a place of worship for Sapta Darma Yogyakarta believers.

According to Makhsun, secretary of HMPS Religious Studies study department Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, the event was initially conceptualized in the form of visits to several places of worship in Yogyakarta. But because it is still in the pandemic period, it is carried out online, in the form of a virtual tour roadshow.

"As (SAA)students, it is mandatory to know and recognize various places of worship from various religions and beliefs. Therefore, HMPS (SAA)bridges that. Because it is still a pandemic, we conceptualized the event by holding a virtual tour roadshow at the zoom meeting," said Makhsun when confirmed on Monday (11/15/2021).

During the implementation of the event, Hari Sulistyo Adi, a resource person who also serves as the central Sapta Darma Youth Spiritual Staff, said that Sapta Darma as one of the believers in Indonesia, is always open to the general public.

"We, as Sapta Darma believers, would like to thank HMPS Religious Studies for being invited to fill this event. We are always open to the general public, there is nothing we cover up. Please if there are parties who want to hold discussions or sharing, we will serve as much as possible," said Heri.

He also added, if there are students, lecturers, or anyone who wants to do research related to Sapta Darma, they can go directly to the central studio in Jogja or to branch studios that have now spread in various provinces.

This virtual tour roadshow event is the third in a series of School of Tolerance weekends this year. The other two agendas that have been held in the past week are the national seminar series using the theme "Conflicts in Religious Communities; Is it Really Because of Government Injustice?" and the second series in the form of interfaith dialog with the theme "The Influence of Religious Sects on Indonesian Sovereignty".
