Description Sociology of Religion is a course that focuses on the study of society, interactions and changes in society. It is assumed that besides religion influencing society in the form of values, symbols, institutions and so on, at the same time the development and changes in society can also influence religious society. For this reason, concepts and theories of the sociology of religion are needed. This course discusses Sociological Perspectives; Sociological Perspective of Religion; Religion as a social fact and motivator of social action; Methods in the sociology of religion; Approaches in the sociology of religion; Theories about the origins of religion; Interrelation between religion and society; Religion and social cohesion; Social and religious conflicts; and, Religion and economic development
