| Description | The Theories of Religion course is designed to provide basic level students (semester 3) with an initial introduction to the study of religion from a scientific (historical-scientific) perspective. Students will be invited to examine various definitions of religion, classification of religion, maps of religious theories, as well as the opinions of experts in anthropology, sociology, psychology and phenomenology regarding religion. Apart from the epistemological basics of these figures' religious theories, students will also be invited to study the biographies of these figures and carry out critical studies of the theories they produce. |
